Her sweatshirt says live, laugh, run (even though you can’t tell. I would be a much better photographer if I showed you that instead of told you 🙂 It’s a bit of an oxymoron that she is on the computer! Thankfully a lot more running is happening than is screen time.

I am feeling sooooooooooo thankful that after 2 months, Kent is home for good. No occasional weekend passes, but home to stay 🙂 The program that he has been on in Vancouver has done wonders for his back, so we are also feeling very grateful for that. He is moving well, feeling strong, just still struggling to sit. To say the last 6 months have been challenging is an understatement. It is not easy going forward, but at least we are together.
I gave my bike to Sequoia last summer, was using a borrowed bike from a friend that I gave back last fall, and was hence bikeless. I needed one!! I love a simple deal…..checked out a 2nd hand one this morning, bought it on the spot, and was out playing with it this afternoon!!
Spinning tops and flashy lights are pretty enticing for a little sister…..
What started as innocently feeding the ducks, quickly turned into a mud fest…..
It might be the dumbest decision I ever made, but I signed up for a marathon. Oh dear. I better get my butt moving. I need to do some ‘speedwork’. Apparently that’s good for me. It doesn’t feel like it. I was doing sprints at the track with my motley crew, since I don’t have many other options, but to take them!!
He’s always happy when he is winning. Not so much when he’s losing!!
The kids usually run down the sidewalk/footpath when we have visitors leaving us, waving and prolonging the departure. We are saying bye to family who are going on a grand tour of the States for 6 months in the motorhome. Bon Voyage, happy trails 🙂
I think I should make a photo project called ‘old school playing’. I am constantly impressed and amazed at the things these kids do to keep busy. I wasn’t even half as creative when I was a kid as they are. They closed in the little playground we have in our backyard, to make a fort. Check out the sign….
Since our NZ cousins are here, Sequoia wanted to do an early celebration for her birthday with them. We went to the local rockwall which was pretty neat. We have been here 2 1/2 years and it’s the first time we have been….eek!!! They are orangutans – the whole lots of them!! Based on their climbing ability, not their behavior.
Patiently waiting their turn…..
