This is a copycat image. I saw a self portrait photo that a Mom had taken of herself changing her daughters nappy. It was an amazing image that somehow really spoke to me, because it was so familiar and normal and well, just beautiful. I am nearing the end of my diapering days and I wanted a picture like that too. I am going to come back and keep trying to get something better than this, but this is attempt #1!
Eek! We look a little dim-witted. I was trying to get a decent pic of us in our beanies that my 94 year old Grandma knitted us, so she could see what they looked like!
Beautiful fall weather…..who can resist? I insisted on a picnic on a mountain top. Man, we live in a beautiful place! These photo’s were a bit of an experiment to see what I could do with super strong back light and some lens flare.
I came prepared with bubbles. They didn’t need much encouragement. Then the sun went down and the light changed dramatically! And so did the kids behaviour. They went CRAZY chasing the bubbles.
Actually bubble eating. They were trying to pop them in their mouths!
It feels strange to only have one child at home, after so many years of having a gaggle of them. I found a little posey out on the deck to do some planning and reading, and she made her own little set up with drinks and snacks. It wasn’t very productive time for me, but she sure is sweet. At this point she decided that she wanted to ‘snuggle’ as she puts it. How could I resist?!
