Every time (which is not very often) I try and take a photo of all five together, I am reminded again of why I am a lifestyle documentary photographer, rather than a portrait photographer. I really am not good at getting co-operation for a ‘lovely’ shot.
I couldn’t get all of them to hang out on the same focal plane for long enough to get a photo. So I have two focused. They are usually the ones that are goofing off the worst. And I was shooting at a gazillion ISO by the light of the christmas tree, so super grainy. Oh well, they are ALL in the frame!
I wish I remember what the joke was! It looks like a good one. It is our 17th Wedding Anniversary today. My Dad commented in his email that ‘you start a lot when you get married’. Isn’t that so true! It is staggering to me to look around the table tonight and see we started five new lives. I never would have imagined that when I stood there and said ‘I do’.
I made a Kent a special book to give him today (he has it in his hands). I put in sentimental words and photo’s and had it printed through Artisan State. I TOTALLY recommend them. They ship worldwide for no extra cost and it is gorgeous. I am so so pleased with the quality and look. It has thick lay-flat pages like a childs board book and the quality of the pictures is stella. Big thumbs up from me.
I only took like 4 photo’s of our decorating extravaganza, none of them very good!
I had the bright idea to do a gingerbread house decorating party for our last bible study of the year. It would take quite a bit of time to make 4 big houses. As usual I procrastinated, but now I have a daughter old enough that says ‘Oh Mum, can I please make them’? And make them she did. She spent all evening, and I didn’t help a speck. I love these big responsible girls 🙂 She did a fantastic job.
