His Birthday is coming up in a couple of days, so also coming up is his ‘student of the week’ duty at school.  This is a poster he had to make to present to the class.  Sooooo thankful that big sister spear-headed this and helped him every step of the way 🙂8

In 2013, 2014 and now 2015 I have completed 365 projects with my camera.  My new website for 2015 has inspired me to keep on posting.  I have learnt lots over those 3 years with a camera in my hand everyday.  A lot of that is an increase in my technical skill, but also a greater awareness of what I like to take pictures of.  My first two years I felt restricted by just one photo.  I like to use mulitiple photo’s to tell my story and have really enjoyed posting to my ‘blog’ page.  More so than my 365 project.  But I have come to realize that it is a real skill to portray a story in just one picture, so on I will plug with my 365, trying to perfect this hobby of photography.  I have decided I am not necessarily going to post a photo on here for every day of the year.  If I don’t take anything that I am happy with, or for some reason I don’t get to my camera, I’m not going to sweat it.

I have a goal this year of applying for ‘pro’ through the photography forum that I learn from, and I am motivated to learn more in the area’s that I am weak.  I have have shared this website with only a small handful of people.  Maybe at some point I will even get brave enough to share with more!!  If you are one of those few, thankyou so much for looking and encouraging me along the way.  I appreciate it a lot – more than you’ll ever know!

You have no doubt clicked on the link ‘born to adventure’.  You know it comes up dead every single time.  That is my heart for my family and photography combined.  A new website to share my passion of adventuring as a family.  That link will be live soon!!

So here’s to another year of pictures and anticipation of what God will do in our life this year 🙂

This picture? We are in Crowsnest Pass to Celebrate New Years!!

This year only had 362 days!  At least according to my counting.  I was wondering if I got off in my numbering somehow.  Anyway, another year later, and 3 years worth of 365 projects 🙂  Many photo’s and memoried captured that I probably otherwise wouldn’t have picked my camera up for.

A snow angel to finish the year.  She is actually on a lake 🙂  We have joined a few families from church for an overnight camp in Crowsnest Pass to cheer in 2016 🙂

Kent has been wanting to do this forever.  We shopped for the supplies nearly a year ago, and it needed to get done, before the differences in our hand sizes is minimal!!  We made a mold with playdough, strategically smooshed each of our hands in, and poured plaster of paris in the cast.  It worked!  Yay.  And then the kids got to destroy the playdough.  Our plan is to make a neat frame and it be some wall art, for the very empty walls of our house.361

We went and checked out a (frozen) lake that is about an hour from our house with some good friends.  So amazing.  Even though this is my 4th winter in the frozen north, I am still in awe at this wonderland.  We shovelled the snow off a patch of the lake big enough to play on – Skating, running, sliding, hockey, sledding, being goofy with your sister……360

And we finished our afternoon off sitting around the fire roasting hotdogs.  In my opinion, life doesn’t get any more Canadian than that!!
