Down goes the beat up Ash tree, to make way for our new deck.  All the big kids had turns with the Tomahawk, but Ash got the honors of the final blows to his name-sake tree.

I appreciate these friends of ours alot….even if they encourage our kids to jump off the shed roof onto the tramp!  Seriously though, I love that we each have a larger family, they enjoy adventures, we share our faith, our kids have a hoot together, and it is all-round-awesome hanging out with them.129

Each year the Elk Valley schools get together at Kikomun for a x-country running event.  It is a really neat day out for us.  This year we had 3 kids running.  Neika got 6th, Sequoia 7th (in the same age group/race) and Ashton was in the first third of the pack for his age.  He doesn’t love to run quite so much!!  So proud of their efforts and tenacity 🙂128

I’m liking taking pictures of scenes of our family life when I have the feeling of ‘this is nutty’.  Waaaaay to many kids and too much going on.  I was a fly in the  corner as Kent spent a half hour reading ‘Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimh’.  Lots of wiggling, interruptions & frustrations.  Chelise decided at this point that it would be good to take her PJ’s off.
